A Special Program for Recent Admittees to

The State Bar of California

If you were first admitted to the Bar in California, and within the past 12 months, and you are beginning private practice as a sole practitioner, you are eligible to apply for coverage at special, discounted rates. This coverage is on the same policy form issued to more senior attorneys and law firms, and provides limits of liability of $100,000 each claim/$300,000 aggregate per policy year, with a deductible of $1,000 each claim. With available premium financing, the Recent Admittees Program is designed to make coverage affordable for attorneys who are just beginning their practice. For more information, contact KVI.

If you need higher limits of liability or deductible, you can apply for standard coverage even though you are a recent admittee. In addition, recent admittees who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the special Part-Time Program.
